2018 was the year that we said goodbye to our managing director Lennart Silvis. His knowledge of the water sector and his ability of building partnerships made NWP the largest international water network in the Netherlands. In his farewell blog on the occasion of the NWP matchmaking event he said:
“Building partnerships is extremely important for tackling water challenges. Water is comprehensive and has an great interdependence with so many other sectors and stakeholders. So if you want to be successful, you have to find the right partners.”
Strong collaborative alliance
NWP is a not-for-profit organisation and forms a strong collaborative alliance. Its board of trustees each represent a branch of the water sector, including corporations, governments, water boards, knowledge institutions and NGOs.
NWP’s daily operations are managed by a managing director and management team. NWP has approximately 35 employees at its office in The Hague.
